Henry David Thoreau has long been one of my favorite writers. I go back to him periodically when my soul needs a breath of fresh air.
A few weeks ago, we happened to stay at a friend’s outside of Boston when I realized that she lived only 20 minutes away from Concord and the Walden Pond.
It could not have been more serendipitous.
So, off to the woods we went!
The trees, the water, the sky embraced us and made me believe again.
That’s the magic of Thoreau; he reconnects us to what really matters.
He guides us back to Mother Earth and, with it, the core of our existence.
He was not only a fabulous writer and philosopher, he was an activist and fought for justice and equality. He even went to jail for his anti-slavery beliefs.
He reminds us to care about our environment and our community.
He is what we need right now to fortify our souls.

This deeply meditative powerful Yin yoga practice is a perfect way to end your busy day.
We start with long deep floor -or chair-
Yin stretches
to release the stress of the day,
followed by a calming
guided Yoga Nidra relaxation
that prepares you for a restful sleep.
The class is interwoven with heartfelt spiritual
principles that will truly enhance your life.
All in the comfort of your home
-and favorite comfy PJs
Many of you have asked me for a midweek class that would help you re-center your bodies and minds, so I'm offering this new class series that consists of Yin Yoga stretches and Yoga Nidra relaxation that will both relax, restore and reenergize you for the rest of the week. The yogic principles I share with you will help you make the most of your life in a very profound practical way.
Yin Yoga is a deeply meditative powerful yoga practice that increases flexibility and range of motion. It encourages a healthy flow of life force in the body and emphasizes our quieter moon energy.
A deeper experience unfolds in body, heart and mind; it is a perfect way to end our day.
NOTE: This class is a unique HYBRID class: the poses are taught and demonstrated on the mat AND in a chair if you have mobility issues.
It is for EVERYBODY:
beneficial for beginners and experienced practitioners.
